Trench Foot

So today I touched another trench foot. Trench foot with a touch of frost nip. It was on a homeless guy. He said his socks have been wet for a month and that his feet were all soupy from the wetness. His toes were speckled with subepidermal ecchymoses. His feet were white and callusific. His feet? smelled funny. So funny it went right though my gloves and onto my hands. I spent an hour scrubbing my hands in the shower after i got home and still i smelt it. It was uncanny. The stuff of stink bombs.
